Jimmy Gray Sizemore, 70, of 710 Main Street, Gatesville, NC, died Tuesday, August 25, 2020 in his home where he was cared for by his family.
Jimmy was born in Surry County on June 10, 1950, and was the son of the late Charlie G. and Velma Niten Sizemore. For many years, he worked in both residential and commercial plumbing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Katie Perry and Grace Estes.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Julianne Russ Hinson Sizemore; two daughters, Rena Sizemore Mullins and husband, Greg, of Jarvisburg, and Samantha Lynn Hinson of Eure; two sons, Dusty Sizemore and wife, Laura, of Elizabeth City, and Caleb Jackson Sizemore of Gatesville; a brother, Charlie J. Sizemore of Chesapeake, VA; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jax, and Makayla Mullins, Kerstin Mullins Bumann, and Damon, Emily, and Jacob Sizemore; a great-grandchild, Hayden Bumann, and another great-grandchild due be born.
Jimmy was a beloved husband, father, poet, and friend who was made up of beard, bone, gristle, and the rest…mostly mule. In accordance with his wishes, no services are planned.
Flowers are to be omitted, and for those who wish, contributions may be made to the family to assist with medical and final expenses.
