Jimmy Wayne Hurdle

Jimmy Wayne Hurdle, 75, of 819 Saint John Millennium Road, Aulander, NC, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020, in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

Mr. Hurdle was born in Hertford County on March 13, 1944, and was the son of the late William and Betty Louise Lassiter Hurdle.    Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Gaila Collingsworth Hurdle; two sons, Greg Hurdle and wife, Julie, and Troy Hand, all of Aulander; and a daughter, Stacy Fitzgibbon and husband, Brian, of Cary. Together Jimmy and Gaila shared eight grandchildren, Brooke Hurdle Crawford (Tommy), Austin and Landon Hurdle, Katelynn and Kole Kennington, Nolan Blowe, and Paris and Cailyn Hand. Also surviving are his special cousin, Barry Blowe; his uncle, Kenny Hurdle; his brother-in-law, Howard Collingsworth; and many other extended family members.
