Jeffrey Dean Toppin

   Jeffrey Dean Toppin, 57, of 2938 Rocky Hock Road, Edenton, NC, died Monday, June 29, 2020 in his home.

   Jeff was born in Chowan County on August 16, 1962 and was the son of the late Garland and Elsie Rae Jethro Toppin. He was a retired farmer.

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Marlene Wilson.

   Surviving is his son, Nolan Vernon Toppin and wife, Rebecca, and their daughters, Rylei and Makenzie, of Sunbury; his sister, Charlotte T. Nixon and husband, Leon; and his brother, Ricky E. Toppin and wife, Tabatha, all of Edenton; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

   The family will gather to receive friends and hold a memorial service on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at Nixon’s Catering, 749 Virginia Road, Edenton.
