Jeffery Wayne Moore

   Jeffery Wayne Moore, 58, of 803 Taylor Street, Windsor, NC, died Thursday, November 17, 2022 in ECU Health Bertie Hospital, Windsor.

   Mr. Moore was born in Martin County on November 8, 1964, and was the son of the late Wallace Lee Moore, Sr. and Judy Williams Bowen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-brother, Anthony Bowen.

   Mr. Moore worked as a tree trimmer with Stackhouse Tree Company for 16 years and later opened his own business, Moore’s Plumbing, that he operated until health issues forced retirement.

   Surviving is his wife of 31 years, Scarlette Wright Moore; daughters, Elizabeth Williamson (husband, John) of Candor and Jessica Price of Plymouth; his step-father, Freddie E. Bowen of Windsor; his brother, W.L. “Wally” Moore, II (wife, Nikki)  of Greenville; two grandchildren, Abbigail and L.J. Williamson; extended family, cousins Chris Hardison (wife, Tiffany), Shelton Hardison, Keith Powell, Pedro Barber, and Ben Williams and family; and long-time friends, Bruce and Connie Whitaker and their family.

   In accordance with his wishes no service is planned.

   In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Maynard Children’s Hospital at ECU, 2100 Stantonsburg Road, Greenville, NC 27834.

   Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, assisted the family with arrangements.
