Janet S. Peedin

   Janet S. Peedin, 74, of Shiloh, NC, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at home surrounded by family and friends.

   Mrs. Peedin was born in Portsmouth, VA on March 13, 1949, and was the daughter of the late Enoch and Blanche Sheppard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hardy Freddy Peedin, Sr., and by a sister, Barbara Moulton (husband, Carl, deceased).

   A 1968 graduate of Great Bridge High School, Janet was homemaker, and among her many enjoyments in life, she loved quilting, sewing and working on crafts with friends.

   Surviving is a son, Chip Peedin (special friend, Hope) of Currituck, NC; her daughter, Tammy Shilling (husband, Andy) of Aydlett, NC; five grandchildren, Cody Peedin (wife, Amy) of San Antonio, TX, Sydney Peedin and Kyle Peedin, both of Currituck, NC, Spencer Shilling and Whitney Shilling, both of Aydlett, NC; three great-grandchildren, Lizzy, Parker, and Hadley, all of San Antonia, TX; a sister, Lois Hubbard (husband, Jim) of Chesapeake, VA; two sisters-in-law, Joy Fraioli (husband, Pete) and Joanie Peedin; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

   The family will receive visitors to celebrate her life on Saturday, January 6, from 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. in Tammy and Andy’s home, 184 O'Neal Lane, Aydlett, NC 27916.
