James Thomas Harrell

 James Thomas “Jimmy” Harrell, 63, of Kill Devil Hills, NC, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025, in his home.

 Jimmy was born in Chowan County on July 14, 1961, and was the son of the late Jack W. and Lola Mitchell Harrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Douglas Harrell, and a brother-in-law, Jarvis Howell.

 A longtime beautician, he was an active member of Still Waters Baptist Church.

 Surviving are his four siblings, Brenda Harrell Harrison (husband, William) of Kill Devil Hills, Linda Harrell Howell of Suffolk, VA; Jack Harrell (wife, Mary) of Greensboro, and Judy Harrell Winslow (husband, William) of Belvidere; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

 Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 5, at 11:00 a.m. in Still Waters Baptist Church, 100 E. Driftwood Street, Nags Head, and will be conducted by Pastor Tony Facenda. Friends may visit with the family in the church fellowship hall the hour prior to the service on Wednesday. The burial will follow that afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in Cedarwood Cemetery in Hertford.
