James Nelson Stalls

   James Nelson Stalls, 68, of 1565 NC 137, Eure, NC, died Sunday, December 29, 2019, in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

   Mr. Stalls was born in Martin County on June 17, 1951, and was the son of Beulah Mae Mobley Stalls of Eure and the late Bruce Nelson Stalls. Retired from the Avionics division of Gulfstream Corporation, he was an Army veteran, serving two tours in Vietnam. After moving from Texas to the Eure community, he attended Cool Spring Baptist Church.

   In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Letha Taylor Stalls; a daughter, Aleasha Stalls Hill and husband, Jimmy, of Austin, TX; a son, James Nelson Stalls, Jr. and wife, Jamie, of Forney, TX; two brothers, Danny Stalls of Mechanicsville, VA and Charlie Stalls of Eure; and three grandchildren, Tierra, Tori, and David.

   A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Cool Spring Baptist Church and will be conducted by the Rev. Joe McKnight.
