James Arthur Geramita

   James Arthur Geramita, 52, of Edenton, NC, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023 in his home.

   Mr. Geramita was born Toledo, OH on April 1, 1971, and was the son of Donald Paul Geramita of Canton, OH and the late JoAnn Marie Martorano Geramita. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a dear friend, Jim Smith.

   Retired as an Aviation Maintenance Technician First Class from the US Coast Guard following 21 years of service, he was currently employed with Park Boat Company in Washington, NC.

   Surviving along with his father is his baby girl, Adrianna Rae Geramita of Edenton; the mother of his daughter, Roberta Johnson, also of Edenton; his brother, Marty Geramita of Cleveland, OH; close friends, Steve Wynkoop and Warren “Red” Adams; and other extended family members and friends.

   A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by Chaplain Mike Wise. Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home immediately following the service.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tri-County Animal Shelter, 138 Icaria Road, Tyner, NC 27980.
