James Everett Elliott

James Everett "Hook" Elliott, 60, of 2044 Caratoke Highway, died Monday, September 16, 2024 in his home. 

Mr. Elliott was born in Norfolk, VA on December 11, 1963, and was the son of Billy Gene Elliott of Currituck and the late Mary Cobb Morelen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Alice Ziegel Elliott, and by a sister, Wilma Ritter. A retired landscaper, he enjoyed going to yard sales. 

Surviving along with his father is his wife of 37 years, April Lynn Champ Elliott; two daughters, Mindy Elliott of Edenton and Deloris Elliott of Elizabeth City; a stepdaughter, Seirra McDaniel of Moyock; two sisters, Mary Ann Mabbit of Leesville, FL and Deborah Elliott of Mount Dora, FL; four brothers, David Elliott of Apopka, FL, Michael Morelen of Dallas, TX, John Elliott and Billy Elliott, Jr., both of Poplar Branch; and six grandchildren, Aaliyah, Haily, Jacob, Jordan, Greyson, and Damien, Jr. 

Friends may join the family for a time of visitation and sharing of memories on Saturday, September 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the residence.
