Jackson Roberts Henderson

   Jackson Roberts “Jack” Henderson, 72, of Clark Street, Hertford, NC, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 in his home.

   Mr. Henderson was born in Portsmouth, VA on July 18, 1951, and was the son of the late Coy Willis Henderson, Sr. and Jean Marie Roberts Henderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Henderson. A retired technician with IBM, he was a member of Edenton Baptist Church and enjoyed the fellowship of friends in the Perquimans County Center for Active Living. He was an Army veteran.

   Surviving are his extended family members and friends.

   A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 21, at 11:00 a.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, and will be conducted by The Rev. Dr. Koby Strawser. Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home immediately following the service. A private burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Elizabeth City.
