Jack Held

   John North “Jack” Held, 83, of 409 Surfside Drive, Edenton, NC, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018.

   Mr. Held was born in Bellevue, Ohio, on May 23, 1935, and was the son of the late Joseph and Vona Drinen Held. The retired owner of Bellevue Hardware in Richmond, VA, he had served in the United States Air Force, and was an Episcopalian by faith.

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James N. Held, formerly of Richmond.

   Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Robin Lee Taylor Held; two daughters, Linden Sue Updike of Mechanicsville, VA and Victoria Lee Mercer and husband, Tommy, of Glen Allen, VA; a son, Edward Stuart Held of Mechanicsville; three grandchildren, Chad, Kyle, and Bridget; and a great-grandson, Colton.

   In accordance with his wishes, no services are planned.
