Jack Britt

   Jackie Clifton “Jack” Britt, 75, of Tyner, NC, died Wednesday, September 23, 2020, in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

   Mr. Britt was born in Bertie County on June 11, 1945, and was the son of the late Lewis Clifton Britt and Helen Gray Davenport Britt. A truck driver with J & J Enterprises, he was a member of Cape Colony Church of Christ, and had served in the North Carolina National Guard.

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Brian and Wade Britt.

   Surviving are his wife, Sue Barnette Britt; three daughters, Jacqueline Byrum (Steve) of Merry Hill, and Amy Long (Dwayne) and Hayley Clifton (Paul), all of Edenton; two brothers, Robert “Bob” Britt (Patsy) of Edenton, and Richard Britt (Sandra) of Bowie, TX; six grandchildren, Tanner (Courtney), Lukas, Drake (Carlee), Sam, Iver Jack, and Megan; and a great-grandson, Syler.

   A private graveside memorial service is planned by the family.
