Herbert Alvin Consolvo, Sr.

   Herbert Alvin Consolvo, Sr., 85, of 420 Captains Cove, Unit F, Edenton, NC, died Thursday, October 7, 2021 in Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC.

   Born in Norfolk, VA on September 20, 1936, he was the son of the late Herbert Edward and Amia Dell Smith Consolvo. Retired after 25 years as a firefighter with the City of Norfolk, he was a member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church. Other memberships enjoyed included several local arts councils and leagues, where he shared his work of Sculptured Stoneware Clay through his business, “Clayfish by Herb”.

   Among his survivors are his wife, Sharon; daughter, Kerry; sons, Herbert, Jr. and Bryan; and brother, Eugene.

   A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, October 13^th, at 5:00 p.m., outside on the walkway at Waff Landing. The memorial will be led by Pastor Rusty Womack.

   In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Tri-County Animal Shelter, 138 Icaria Road, Tyner, NC 27980.

   Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
