Harold Owsley

   Harold Owsley, 82, of Hertford, NC, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 in Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, VA.

   Mr. Owsley was born in Vest, KY on October 12, 1938, and was the son of the late James and Rachel Risner Owsley. A retired supervisor from Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, he was a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ where he had served as an elder.

   Surviving are his wife, Patricia Kemp Owsley; three daughters, Kathy Carter and husband, Kevin, of West Virginia, Cynthia St. Clair and husband, Sammy, of Rocky Mount, VA, and Cheri DiMunno of Smithfield, VA; a son, Preston Owsley of Newport News, VA; two grandchildren, Danielle Jones of Smithfield and Cody DiMunno of Suffolk, VA; a great-grandson, Coman Jones; two sisters, Geneva Matteis of Florida and Hazel Woodard of Yorktown, VA; and a brother, Gordon Owsley, also of Yorktown.

   A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 14, at 2:00 p.m. in Bethlehem Church of Christ, and will be conducted by Minister Chris Shoaff.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Church, 602 Pender Road, Hertford, NC 27944.
