Gina Layden Berry

 Gina Layden Berry, 66, of Elizabeth City, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

 Mrs. Berry was born in Pasquotank County on August 4, 1958, and was the daughter of the late Davis R. and Lottie Frances Stallings Layden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Wilson Berry, Sr.; a sister, Ursula Layden; a brother, Gary Layden; and a niece, Ashley Jones.

 Surviving are her stepdaughter, Misty Wooten (Nick); stepson, Freddie Wilson Berry, Jr.; two brothers, James Keith Layden and Michael Guy Layden (Pennie); four grandchildren, Gracie and Payton Wooten and Dylan and Kayleigh Berry; four nieces, Tammy Lynn T. Holland (Jimmy), Rebecca Ann Layden (McKiney), Korri Michelle L. Hardiman (CJ), and Nikki I. Layden; two nephews, Mark V. Trueblood and Jame Blake Layden (Alexis), along with other extended family members and friends.

 Gina will be laid to rest with her sister, Ursula Layden, in accordance with her wishes. A private family service is being planned.
