George Thomas Huskey

   George Thomas Huskey, 88, of 217 One Mill Road, Shiloh, NC, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018, in his home.

   Mr. Huskey was born in Sevier County, TN on August 22, 1930, and was the son of the late Isaac Steve and Bessie Jane Cotter Huskey. Retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard, he was an Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Patterson Huskey; a son-in-law, Edward Adkins; three sisters, Alma Ownby, Jean Huskey, and Pam Huskey; and by a brother, Ronnie Huskey.

   Surviving are his three daughters, Linda H. Denny and husband, Robert, of Shiloh, Brenda H. Davis and husband, Tom, of Elizabeth City, and Sandra H. Adkins of Tyner; a son, George W. Huskey of Pigeon Forge, TN; eight sisters, Hazel Hill, Dorothy Miller, Faye Sutton, Fran Reagan, Bobbie Smith, Helen Mayfield, Charlotte McCarter, and Gail Giordano; four brothers, Steve, Darrell, Bruce, and Bill Huskey, all of Pigeon Forge; seven grandchildren, Kellie, Heather, Sommer, David, Kaytee, Chris, and Kelsey; 20 great-grandchildren; and special cousins, Bill and Shirley Huskey.

   A Celebration of his Life will be held Sunday, November 11, at 3:00 p.m. at the residence.
