Thomas Gary Russell, 70, of 132 Long Lane, Edenton, NC, died Friday, March 13, 2020 in his home.
Gary was born in Pasquotank County on January 25, 1950, and was the son of the late Thomas Story Russell and Shirley Harrell Russell Cox.
An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he had worked with Jimbo Jumbos in Edenton and with the Budweiser Distribution Center in Elizabeth City. An avid outdoorsman, he was a member of the Swampy Bottom Bear Hunting Club and the Chowan Hunting Club. He attended and enjoyed the fellowship of the Edenton Pentecostals.
Surviving are his wife, Angela Cooper Russell; his daughter, Kelli Graham (Mark) of Madison, MS; his son, Bo Russell of Concord; his step-son, Shaun Simpson of Hertford; two sisters, LaWanda Hollowell (Johnny) of Tyner and Tara Lane (Johnny) of Edenton; three brothers, Steve Russell (Beverly) of Elizabeth City, Giles Russell (Sherry) of South Mills, and Keith Russell (Pam) of Tyner; three grandchildren, Jaylen Russell, McKinley Graham, and Mallory Graham; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to assist the family with both medical related and final expenses.
