Gary Howard McGovern

   Gary Howard McGovern, 65, of Hertford, NC, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 in his home where he was being cared for by family.

   Mr. McGovern was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 31, 1956, and was the son of the late Lawrence Edward and Virginia Grace McGovern. Gary was a Godly man, and happiest when surrounded by his family, as well as having a Natty Light in his hand and a fishing line in the water.

   Surviving is his wife, Iris; two daughters, Allison and Maggie; a son, Brian; a sister, Ruthie; four brothers, John, Steve, Paul, and Dave; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

   A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
