Gail Johnson Daneker

   Gail Johnson Daneker, 76, of 100 N. Front St., Hertford, NC, died Friday, November 27, 2020 in her home.

   Mrs. Daneker was born in Hertford on September 19, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Mary Lucille Broughton Johnson. A retired nurse, she was in the first nursing class to graduate from the College of The Albemarle.

   In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, John Edward Daneker, a sister, Vera Temple MacConnell, a brother, Charles E. Johnson, II and a son-in-law, Daniel Brueckner.

   Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Daniel Frank "Dan" Daneker, a daughter, Carrie D. Brueckner, a son, Zeb Wilson Daneker and wife, Jennifer, all of Hertford; ten grandchildren, Krystopher Daniel Smith, Jordan Daneker, Matthew Evans, McKenzie Evans, Clayton Lantz, Megan Singletary, Kianna Brueckner, Nathan Daneker, Kyah Brueckner, and Gabe Daneker; and five great-grandchildren.

   A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 12^th, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the residence.
