Frances McCollister Duncan

   Frances Mae McCollister Duncan, 79, of 803 West Elizabeth Street, Elizabeth City, NC, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018, in her home.

   Born in Canton ME on February 23, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Rodney McCollister and Lillian Barrows. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Mercer Long, Jr. and Joseph Long; two grandsons, Kenny Wiggins, Jr. and Jerry Dwayne Long; and by two brothers, Richard and Mac McCollister.

   Surviving are her two sons, Glenn Ray Long of Camden, and Jerry Long, Sr. of Elizabeth City; two daughters, Valerie Long of Elizabeth City, and Amy Wiggins of Corapeake; a sister, Marion Gregory of Elizabeth City; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

   A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 8, at 3:00 p.m. in the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, 1101 West Ehringhaus Street, Elizabeth City. Friends may join the family at the residence.
