Florence Catherine Blennau Moretti

   Florence Catherine Blennau Moretti, 92, of Paradise Road, Edenton, NC, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021 in Chowan River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

   Mrs. Moretti was born in Maspeth, New York, and was one of three daughters born to Adolph and Harriet Rose Rollison Blennau. Retired from the accounting department of Bank of America, she was a Lutheran by faith.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Lawrence Moretti; by her son, Billy Scott Hahne; and by her sisters, Grace Rising and Veronica Adams.

   Surviving are two daughters, Diane Catherine Swanner (husband, Arthur), and Catherine Grace Moretti, both of Edenton; four granddaughters, Jenifer Rose Williams (husband, Edward) and Catrine Forrest, both of Edenton; Nicole Forrest Schilling (husband, Joshua) of Ohio and Christine Hahne of Rosedale, NY; and two great-granddaughters, Faelynn Rose Williams of Edenton and Dominique Hahne of Rosedale.

   With the family’s concern for the safety and well-being of everyone during the Covid-19 Pandemic, no services are planned. At Mrs. Moretti’s request, her cremated remains will be inurned with her late husband in the Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York.
