Faye Winslow Lassiter

   Faye Winslow Lassiter, 89, of 1140 Sandy Cross Road, Belvidere, NC, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, in Gates House Assisted Living, Gatesville.

   Mrs. Lassiter was born in Perquimans County on May 4, 1929, and was the daughter of the late James H. and Alma Mae Winslow. A retired bookkeeper with Albemarle Chemical, she was a member of Up River Friends Meeting and its Elizabeth White Missionary Circle.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Cartland Lassiter; sisters, Evie Stallings and Teressa Smith; and a brother, Alton Winslow.

   Surviving are three sons, J. Rodney Lassiter, Randy C. Lassiter and wife, Lynn, and Russell R. Lassiter and wife, Brenda, all of Belvidere; and a sister, Eloise White of Belvidere. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and their families: Jamie Salvatore, husband Mike, and their children, Vincent, Carlie, and Carmine; R.J. Lassiter, wife Holly, and their children, Jada and Jack; Adam Lassiter, wife Hillary, and their twins, Harper and Haleigh; Joshua Lassiter, wife Gabby, and their children, Scarlett and Zadie; John Russell Lassiter, wife Jenna, and their children, Emily and Erianne; Jenna Caldwell, husband Ryan, and their children, Pierce, Cash, and Tripp; Kelli Price, husband Brandon, and their child, Bella; and Kylli Priest and husband, Cullen.

   Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Up River Friends Meeting and will be conducted by Pastor Chuck Hartman. A private burial will be next to her husband in the Up River Cemetery. Friends may join the family in the social hall of the meeting house immediately following the service.

   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory be made to either Up River Friends Meeting, or to the Up River Friends Preschool Program, both at 523 Up River Road, Belvidere, NC 27919.
