Ethan Charles Hankinson

   Ethan Charles Hankinson, 15, of 32 Harrell Lane, Eure, NC, passed away, Sunday, March 17, 2019, in his home.

   Born in Suffolk, VA on April 16, 2003, he was the son of Charles Edward “Chuck”, Jr. and Carol Anne Buck Hankinson of Eure. A gentle, kind, and obedient son, he loved everyone and was a friend to all who knew him. A 10^th grade student at Beacon of Light Academy and with United Homeschool Academy Co-op, he was a member of Upper Room Assembly where he was active with both the Media Team and Youth Group, and was Master at Arms with the Gates County Sea Cadets. Among his many talents, he especially loved to play the piano.

   He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles Edward, Sr. and Nancy Jones Hankinson.

   In addition to his parents, surviving are his sister, Caroline Hankinson, of Eure; a step-brother, Jayme Hankinson of Georgia; maternal grandparents, E. B. “Boykin”, Jr. and Carolyn Felton Hudgins of Eure, and Kenneth “Kenny” and Nancy Scott Buck of Suffolk; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members and friends.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Eure Baptist Church, and will be conducted by Dr. Wayne Proctor, and Pastors Eric Earhart, Alex Meadows, and Robert Jordan. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family at Boykin and Carolyn’s home, 56 Harrell Lane, Eure.
