Emile Joseph Lapierre

   Emile Joseph Lapierre, 79, of Hertford, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 in ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville.

   Mr. Lapierre was born in Woonsocket, RI on October 15, 1942, and was the son of the late Dennis Joseph Lapierre and Bernadette Bell Lapierre. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Carl Desilets, and by a brother, Camille Lapierre.

   A retired lineman from PepsiCo, he was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, and was active with the Perquimans County Senior Center.

   Surviving is his wife of nearly 53 years, Judy Lane Jordan Lapierre; a daughter, Leslie Barrette (husband, Denis) of Port St. Lucie, FL; two sisters, Rita Chartier and Cecil Blaise, both of Woonsocket; a brother, Gerard Lapierre of North Smithfield, RI; and two grandchildren, Stacie and Kyle Barrette.

   A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 9, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anne Catholic Church. Friends may visit with the family in the Parish Hall immediately following the service.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, PO Box 422, Edenton, NC 27932.
