Fay Rogerson Elliott

   Ellen Fay Rogerson Elliott, 81, of Hertford, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018, in her home.

   Mrs. Elliott was born in Pasquotank County on April 20, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Dennis Mack and Linda Sanders Rogerson. A graduate of Weeksville School, she retired from the cafeteria at Perquimans County Schools in the Spring of 2004. An active member of Woodville Baptist Church, she was also a "forever member" of the Inter-County Ruritan Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion Sawyer and Marilan Rogerson; and by two brothers, Jimmy and Thomas Rogerson.

   Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Henry Carlton Elliott, Sr.; two sons, Henry Carlton Elliott, Jr. and wife, Kris, of Midway, GA, and Dennis Matthew Elliott and wife, Shannon, of Elizabeth City; a daughter, Dawn Rountree and husband, Eugene, Jr., of Hertford; a sister, Catherine Snyder; three brothers, Marshall, Michael, and her twin, Ray Rogerson, all of Elizabeth City; eight grandchildren, Kelly Annis, Chrissa Bogush, Kristina Guillory, Cameron Elliott, Bailey Hall, and Travis, Eric, and Tyler Rountree; eight great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

   Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Woodville Baptist Church, and will be conducted by her pastor, the Rev. Steve Feehan. Friends may join the family in the church social hall immediately following the service on Monday, and all other times at Dawn and Eugene's home, 414 Woodville Road, Hertford.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made either to Woodville Baptist Church, 151 Woodville Road, Hertford, NC 27944 or to Inter-County Ruritan Club, in care of Frances Long, 1701 Providence Road, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
