Edna Alexander Cole

 Edna Kay Alexander Cole, 73, of Edenton, NC, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 21, 2024, in her home surrounded by loved ones.

 Mrs. Cole was born in Chowan County on May 18, 1951, and was the daughter of the late Casper “Nookie” and Wilma Elizabeth Hassell Alexander. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Alexander, and by a brother, Chuck Alexander. A homemaker, she was a member of Edenton Bible Holiness Church.

 Surviving is her husband of nearly 36 years, David Richard Cole; eight children, Lisa Bunch (husband, Carroll) of Edenton, Stephanie Lawrence (husband, Chad) of Hertford, Angie Cole of Summerville, SC, Teresa Cole-Rosales (husband, Carlos) of Oakland, CA, Mary Kathryn Jones (husband, Brian), Adam Cole, both of Edenton, Timothy Cole (wife, Sharon) of Elizabeth City, and Jennifer Jones (husband, Kevin) of Edenton; four siblings, Ronnie Alexander of Hertford, Patricia Hamby of Nags Head, Susan Alred and Barbara Stilley, both of Edenton; 16 grandchildren, James Bunch, Kayln Hayes, Joshua Bunch, Kelli Mendoza, Makayla Jones, William and Aaron Lawrence, Hannah, Faison, Michael, Kailyn, Ashton, Brennan, and Kaia Cole, and Carlos and Daniella Rosales; and four great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Bunch, Brantley and Alaina Hayes, and Beckett Bunch.

 In accordance with her wishes, there will be a private family gathering.
