Earl Edward Wise, Jr.

   Earl Edward "Eddie" Wise, Jr., 80, of Snug Harbor Road, Hertford, NC, died Monday, July 6, 2020 in Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation.

   Mr. Wise was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia on May 9, 1940, and was the son of the late Earl E., Sr. and Virginia Gregory Wise. A retired lineman with Pike Electrical Company, he was an Army veteran, and a member of both the Virginia Beach Moose Lodge #1998, and the Princess Anne Masonic Lodge #25.

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jean; a sister, Joan, and a brother, Richard.

   Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Mary Ann Barton Wise; a son, Earl E. Wise, III (Cheryl) of Arnold, Maryland; and a brother, Carl Wise of Massachusetts and Florida. Also surviving are Mary Ann's sons, Steve Donlan (Kelli) of Virginia Beach, Matt Donlan (Ella) of Las Vegas, NV, and Jeff Donlan (Candice) of Chicago. Together Eddie and Mary Ann shared 11 grandchildren.

   Due to the restrictions associated with the Covid-19 Pandemic, a memorial service is being planned for a later time when conditions are safer for family and friends to gather.
