Doris Bass Bunch

   Doris Jean Bass Bunch, 82, of 366 Woodland Drive, Edenton, NC, died Thursday, July 7, 2022 in ECU Health, Greenville.

   Ms. Bunch was born in Chowan County on August 20, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Lindsey Bass and Lena Holmes Bass White. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Yvonne Bunch; and a sister, Brenda Bass Turner.

   She was formerly employed as a Spinner with the Edenton Cotton Mill.

   Surviving is her son, Tony L. Bunch (wife, Shirley) of Sanford; two sisters, Lillian Bass of Baltimore, MD and Kay Belch of Edenton; three brothers, Danny Bass of Nags Head and Bobby Bass and Jesse Bass, both of Edenton; four granddaughters, Kimber Ayers of Creswell, Danielle Downey and Kristin Vause, both of Sanford, and Erica Zumbo of Pittsboro; and six great-grandchildren, Bridgett Ayers, Kalvyn Raynor, Isabella and Lincoln Zumbo, Layla McDougald and Joshua Vause.

   A gathering for family and friends will be held Sunday, July 10^th from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at her sister’s home, 356 Woodland Drive, Edenton.
