 Donald David Coleman, Sr., 86, of Hertford, NC, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024 in his home.

 Mr. Coleman was born in Oneida County, NY on March 29, 1938, and was the son of the late Francis Edison and Ella Van Dusen Coleman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, June White Coleman, a sister, Kathy, and by a brother, Francis.

 Employed with the Norfolk Police Department for 11 years, he later worked and retired from Preston Trucking Company. A Baptist by faith, he was a member of Atlantic Masonic Lodge #2 in Norfolk, VA, and enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially his Harley Davidson. He was a Marine Corps veteran.

 Surviving is his daughter, Lisa Storer of Hertford; three sons, Michael Peck (Peggy) of Story, AR, Donald Coleman, Jr. (Barbara), and Douglas Coleman (Amanda), both of Hertford; a sister, Ellen Fordham of Schenectady, NY; six grandchildren, Ethan (Brooklyn), Sydnie (Jaris), Dougie, Tiffani, Corey, and Justin; several great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Johnny Katronis; and dear friend, Rick Morgan.

 A private service will be held by the family.
