Donald Ray Andrade

   Donald Ray Andrade, 82, of 337 Riverfront Drive, Hertford, NC, died Friday, February 21, 2020, in his home.

   Mr. Andrade was born in Contra Costa, California on November 4, 1937, and was the son of the late Benjamin and Helen Johnson Andrade. A retired firefighter with the City of Richmond, CA Fire Department, he was a faithful member of St. Anne Catholic Church where he had served as a Eucharistic Minister. Other enjoyments included his love of fishing and woodworking.

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann Giaramita Andrade, by his daughter, Samantha Andrade, and by his brother, Lee Graham.

   Surviving are his daughter, Amy Andrade of Harrisburg, NC; nieces, nephews, extended family members, and his church family and friends.

   Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 26^th, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anne Catholic Church and will be conducted by Father Carlos Arce. Friends may join the family for a reception in the Church Hall following the service. The burial will be in Sunset View Cemetery, El Cerrito, CA, where he will be laid to rest with his wife and daughter.

   The family requests that flowers be omitted, and contributions in his memory be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, P.O. Box 27106, New York, NY 10087, and on the memo line should be the notation that the contribution is in memory of Donald Andrade.
