Dr. Don Scott Lesiewicz, PhD, 74, of 141 Deans Farm Road in Tyner, NC, and of 107 Horniblow Point Road in Edenton, NC, left this earth on Saturday, October 16, 2021.
Born in Los Angeles, CA on June 17, 1947, he was the son of the late Henry and Vivian Scott Lesiewicz. Educated in Entomology and Agricultural Science, he was a world renowned scientist, had served in the Army, and was a member of the Chowan Hunt Club.
The best husband imaginable, he is survived by his wife, Kathryn; daughters, Meaghan Miller of Suffolk, VA and Erin Lafferty of Raleigh; a sister, Susan Lesiewicz; a brother, Peter Lesiewicz; and four grandchildren. Also surviving are friends, Jason Bigden (wife, Robyn), and Brian Bigden (wife, Jodi, and their daughter, Dylan), all of New Jersey; dear neighbors, Frank and Louetta Sellars; and countless family and friends who knew and loved him.
Don was a much loved and devoted husband, talented woodworker, loyal friend, and lover of animals. His absence can never be replaced and his love will be in Kathryn’s heart forever. The sadness cannot be explained in words. Rest Eternal My Love.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, in care of Rev. Henry C. Burdick, III, 106 Madison Street, Plymouth, NC 27962.
