Dillard Felton White, Jr.

   Dillard Felton “Junior” White, 84, died Monday, January 17, 2022 in Barbour Court Nursing & Rehabilitation in Smithfield, NC.

   Mr. White was born in Gates County on June 4, 1937, and was the son of the late Dillard Felton White, Sr. and Lala Easter Bass White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Allan White; two brothers, Johnnie White and Joseph Lett White; and by his longtime companion, Georgia Heath.

   Retired from Firestone Tire in both Suffolk, VA and Elizabeth City, NC, he was raised in the fellowship of Warwick Baptist Church in Hobbsville, and was an Army veteran. Enjoyments included his love of fishing.

   Surviving is his son, Kenneth Earl White of Williamston; a sister, Bertha Baldwin (husband, David) of Chesapeake, VA; and two brothers, William White (wife Carolyn, deceased) of Suffolk and Henry Warren White (wife, Denise) of Hobbsville.

   Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 26^th, at 2:00 p.m. in Warwick Baptist Church and will be conducted by Pastor Kip Vinson. The burial will be in the White Family Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family in the church the hour prior to services.
