David Joseph Smitheman

   David Joseph Smitheman, 32, of 907 Union Branch Road, Corapeake, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018, in his home.

   David was born in Pasquotank County on June 28, 1986. A graduate of Gates County High School, he was a sheet metal worker and mechanic, and was a volunteer firefighter with the Whaleyville, VA Fire Station.

   Surviving are his parents, Mark Allen Smitheman, Sr. of Corapeake; his mother, Karen Diane Yarbrough and husband, Jim, of Suffolk, VA; three daughters, Brooklyn, Amaya, and Kaci; a sister, April Renee Kennedy and husband, Kevin, of Norfolk, VA; and two brothers, Mark A. Smitheman, Jr. of Corapeake, and James Courtland Smitheman, II and wife, Megan, of Check, VA.

   A memorial service will be held Friday, December 28^th, at 1:30 p.m. in Eureka Baptist Church. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation in the fellowship hall of the church immediately following the service.
