David Allen Barton

   David Allen Barton, 69, of Hertford, NC, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

   Mr. Barton was born in Williamsport, PA on March 28, 1955, and was the son of the late Stanley C. and Beverly Long Barton. Retired from the City of Norfolk, he was a Navy veteran.

   Surviving is daughter, Shelly Lynn Cline; former wife and friend, Pamela Lewis Barton; step-son, Mitchell Allen Goldman; three grandchildren, Trinity Anne Cline, Shealynn Marie Cline, and Ryan Goldman; a great-grandson, Wade William Deick; and other extended family members and friends.

   In accordance with his wishes, private services will be held.
