Darby Hays Tyndall

Darby Hays Tyndall, 53, of 485 Muddy Creek Road, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024, in his home.

 Mr. Tyndall was born in Henry County, IN on January 29, 1971, and was the son of the late Jimmy and Anita Pauline Hays Tyndall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Edward Allen “Eddie” Tyndall, and by a brother, David Tyndall.

Retired as a commercial plumber and pipefitter, he had served as a firefighter with both the Pamlico County and New Bern fire departments. An avid hunter, he enjoyed the outdoors and taking his sons into the woods to hunt for deer.

Surviving are his wife, DeLys Chauvin; two sons, Darby Ray “D.J.” Tyndall of New Bern and Mike Weinberg of Greenville; and a granddaughter, Raylynn Tyndall.

Private services will be held by the family.
