Daisy Monds Jordan

   Daisy Marie Monds Jordan, 88, of 900 Center Hill Road, Tyner, NC, died Saturday, October 31, 2020 in The Carrolton of Williamston.

   Mrs. Jordan was born in Perquimans County on September 16, 1932, and was the daughter of the late Bennie P. and Ruth Perry Monds. A retired nurse from Chowan Hospital in Edenton after nearly 24 years of employment, she later worked with Albemarle Home Health. As long as health permitted, she was a faithful member of Center Hill Baptist Church.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilber Thomas Jordan; their children, Robin and Rodney Jordan; and by her brothers, baby Benjamin, and Preston, Louis, and James “Teeny Man” Monds.

   Surviving are three grandchildren, Kristie Williams (David) and Mandy Reynolds (Adam), of Tyner, and Tony Jordan (Jennifer) of Edenton; nine great-grandchildren, Drew Jordan, Kristen Williams, Jaemikle Etheridge, Conner and Caleb Seese, and Jordan, Shiloh, Bethany, and Eden Reynolds; and a great-great-grandchild, Porter Gay.

   Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Center Hill Baptist Church and will be conducted by her pastor, The Rev. Russell Blanchard. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Social distancing measures and masks are encouraged, and for those who wish, the service will be broadcast on FM-89.5 and can be heard from your automobiles while parked on the church grounds. Friends may visit with the family at Kristie and David’s home, 547 Center Hill Road in Tyner.
