Cynthia Woolliscroft Cox

   Cynthia Victoria Woolliscroft Cox, 82, of 125 Hickory Street, Hertford, NC, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 in her home.

   Mrs. Cox was born in New York City, NY on July 6, 1938, and was the daughter of the late Robert Bernard and Victoria Mary Kral Woolliscroft. A retired insurance supervisor with Prudential Insurance in Millville, NJ, upon moving to Hertford she had been employed part-time with Edward Jones in Edenton. A member of Snug Harbor Community Church, she was a General class amateur radio operator.

   Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Champion Charles Cox; two daughters, Charlene Hassell of Hertford and Christene Pierce and husband, Darryl, of Cary; and five grandchildren, Emily and Matthew Candler, and Caleb, Benjamin, and Rachel Pierce.

   Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Siloam Cemetery, 550 N. Valley Ave., Vineland, NJ.
