Corey Scott Venters

   Corey Scott Venters, 30, of 201 Okisco Trail, Edenton, NC, died Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in his home.

   Corey was born in Chowan County on April 15, 1990 and was the son of Christie Stallings Ervin and Scott E. Venter (Beverly) of Tyner. He was employed with Outdoor Drainage Solutions in residential lot grading.

   In addition to his parents, he is survived by his longtime companion, Audrey Elaine Gee, and their son, Charlie Alexander Venters, of Edenton; three sisters, Ashley Elizabeth Venters (Trey) of Edenton, Caitlyn Brianna Lewis of Reno, NV, and Emma James Ervin of Tyner; two brothers, Joshua Edward Copeland (Brittani) of Plymouth and Daniel Thomas Venters of Tyner; maternal grandparents, Richard Earl and Carol Stallings of Belvidere; three nieces, Kara Rayne Fimbres, Avery Harper Rawls, and Brielle Rountree; two nephews, Jeffrey Cayden Harrison and Brayden Rountree; and an aunt, Terri S. Harrell (Jack) of Tyner.

   A private memorial service is planned by the family and will be conducted by the Rev. Ricky Bishop. Friends may visit with the family at Ashley’s home, 1226 Macedonia Road, Edenton.
