   Cleo Edwina Jurney Griffin, 85, of 108 Mark Drive, Edenton, NC, died Thursday, May 7, 2020 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

   Mrs. Griffin was born in Washington, DC on August 16, 1934, and was the daughter of the late John and Cleo Paxton Jurney. A homemaker, in earlier years she had worked as a bookkeeper with various retail businesses. She had formerly been a member of Grace Community Church, the Beta Sigma Phi Kappa Lambda Sorority, and the Yeopim Ruritan Club.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Jones; her second husband, Anthony Bryant Griffin; a daughter, Sally Jones; a son, Kevin Jones; sisters, Ellen and Margaret; brothers, Charles and John; and a grandson, Marc.

   Surviving are her daughter, Valerie Hobart (Jimmy) of Bowie, MD; her son, Tim Jones (Debra) of Lexington Park, MD; her stepson, Tony Griffin (Annette) of Virginia Beach, VA; three sisters, Judy, Jean Marie, and Georgia Ann; a brother, Billy; six grandchildren, Kimberly, Casey, Shane, Krystle, Angie, and Mandy; and seven great-grandchildren.

   Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9th, at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by her former pastor, The Rev. Greg Brinson. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery.
