Claudia Barnes Ballance Bivens

   Claudia Elizabeth Barnes Ballance Bivens, 88, of Shawboro, NC, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

   Born in Camden County on August 17, 1934, she was the daughter of the late James Edward Barnes, Sr. and Lucy Elizabeth Sawyer Barnes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, James E. Barnes Jr., Dallas M. Barnes, Lloyd L. Barnes, a half-brother, Johnnie Smithson; and by husbands, the love of her life, Billie Ballance, and Ernest Bivens.

   Surviving is her sister, Shirley Jean Trotman; a brother, Zad “Puncky” Barnes (Linda); two special nieces, Susan White and Joan Zimmerman; and many other nieces and nephews including all the way down to a great-great-great nephew.

   A memorial service will be held at a later time.
