Claude Elbert Rogerson

   Claude Elbert Rogerson, 82, of Edenton House Assisted Living, Edenton, NC, died Saturday, January 16, 2021 in Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, Elizabeth City.

   Mr. Rogerson was born in Chowan County on July 23, 1938, and was one of six children of the late Claude Burt and Minnie Parks Rogerson. Retired from Cherry Welding, he had served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church.

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Sue Rogerson and Nancy Hopp, and by his brother, Tommy Rogerson.

   Surviving are two children, Stephanie Reuwer of Worton, MD, and Claude Elbert Rogerson, Jr. of Statesville; two sisters, Lula Mae Chambers of Elizabeth City and Debbie Lou Lewis of Pantego; and three grandchildren.

   A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Beaver Hill Cemetery. No formal visitation is being held, however friends may visit with the family at the graveside immediately following the service.
