Cecille Jacques Carpenter

   Cecille Florie Jacques Carpenter, 102, of Hertford, NC, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024 in The Landings of Albemarle.

   Mrs. Carpenter was born in Randolph, VT on May 1, 1921, and was the daughter of Renee and Marie Lemieux Jacques. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard A. Carpenter, II, her daughter, Marie Kinchla, and by 13 siblings.

   Having lived a full life, she spent the majority of her time in New York and Massachusetts and then most recently in North Carolina. Employed in outreach with senior services for many years, she enjoyed spending time and helping others. A member of the Elks Club in Eastham, MA, other enjoyments included gardening and arts and crafts, especially rug hooking.

   Surviving is her daughter, Irene Joyce Carpenter of Honokaa, HI; her son, Howard A. Carpenter, III (wife, Patricia) of Stuart, OK; her son-in-law, Paul Kichla of Honokaa, HI; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.

   Private services will be held.
