Carolyn Bunch Rogerson

   Lillian Carolyn Bunch Rogerson, 81, of 133 Wiggins Road, Hertford, NC, died Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in her home.

   Mrs. Rogerson was born in Chowan County on December 14, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Clarence Edward and Dixie Harrell Bunch. A homemaker, she was a faithful member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Elliott Rogerson, and by her brothers, Edward, Carlton, Lindsey Ray, Thurrell Gray, Ralph, and Alvin Bunch.

   Surviving are her daughter, Valerie Rogerson Coltrain and husband, Ray, of Hertford; two grandchildren, Rachel Farrish and husband, Mike, and Nick Coltrain and wife, Megan; six great-grandchildren, Sarrah, Brenden, Aurora, Henry, Taylor, and Carney; and by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

   Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, and will be conducted by her pastor, the Rev. Howard Sutton. A private burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. Friends may join the family Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, and other times at the residence.

   The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to Jackie, Faye, Sheila, Shelly, Brooke, Carolyn, Tracy, Kyma, Aunt Barbara, and Aunt Audrey, for the excellent care provided during her time of need.
