Bonnie Morey Edwards

   Bonnie Lou Morey Edwards, 70, of Ambrose Road, Creswell, NC, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019, in her home where she was surrounded by her children.

   Mrs. Edwards was born in Decatur, Illinois on October 22, 1948, was the daughter of the late Donald Morey and Hilda Louise Spaulding Born, and step-daughter of the late Max Born. A graduate of Cerro Gordo High School, she was a homemaker and mother, whose life’s work was raising and caring for her family.

   In addition to her parents and step-father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ward Edwards; a brother, Donald Morey; and a grandson, Michael.

   Surviving are two daughters, Trina Meny Looker of Hertford and Tiffeny Lentz Smith and husband, Randy, of Tower Hill, Illinois; a son, Trenten S. Lentz and wife, Stephanie, of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Connie Nance, and a brother, Ronald Morey, both of Joplin, Missouri.

   Mrs. Edwards raised two of her granddaughters, Desereé and Crystal, and a great-granddaughter, Qwajah. With them she is survived by 11 other grandchildren, Danny, BreAnna, Erin, Kacee, Dakota, Dallas, Denver, Tucker, Arleasha, Triston, and Trenton; and 23 other great-grandchildren.

   In accordance with her wishes, no service is being planned by the family.
