Billie Divers Carver

   Billie Carole Divers Carver, 85, of Hertford, NC, and formerly a longtime resident of Tyner, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in The Landings of Albemarle.

   Mrs. Carver was born in Perquimans County on January 5, 1937, and was the daughter of the late William Divers, Jr. and Maude Perry Divers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Andrew "D.A." Carver. Retired as co-owner of Empire Storage & Van which she operated with her husband, she was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

   Surviving is her daughter, Angela Wedeman (husband, Richard) of Edenton; her son, Anthony Carver (wife, Yvonne) of Elizabeth City; her brother, William Divers, III (wife, Janyce) of Oak Island; three grandchildren, Perry Byrum (wife, Kristin), Clay Byrum (wife, Lauren), and Crystal Simms (husband, Morgan); and a great-granddaughter, Ruby Simms.

   A private graveside memorial service will be held in Cedarwood Cemetery. With the resurgence of the Covid Virus in the area, no formal visitation is planned.
