Bill White

   John William “Bill” White, Jr., 79, of 145 Dallie White Road, Tyner, NC, died Saturday, March 12, 2022 in his home where he was cared for by his family.

   Mr. White was born in Newport News, VA on February 16, 1943, and was the son of the late John William White, Sr. and Maude Medlin Jordan White.

   A retired Chief Inspector Supervisor with Newport News Shipbuilding; he was employed there for 42 years.

   Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Jean Fox White, and their children, daughter, Stacey White Peterson (husband, Scott) of Tyner, and son, Les White of Yorktown, VA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ginny and Wayne Saulman of Williamsburg, VA; eight grandchildren, Mallory, Daniel, Dylan, Morgan, Trevor, Ethan, Josie, and Cole; and six great-grandchildren, Jacob, April Danny, Blakely, Luke, and Evelyn.

   Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 16^th, at 11:00 a.m. in Peninsula Memorial Park Cemetery, 12750 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA.
