Beverley Pickett Kirchmier

 Beverley Meredith Pickett Kirchmier, 90, of Kill Devil Hills, and a former resident of Edenton, died Sunday, February 2, 2025, in her home.

 Mrs. Kirchmier was born in Virginia on December 12, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Katherine Anchrum Cobb Pickett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, The Reverend Charles Pickett, IV, and by her step-mother, Mildred Parker Merrill.

 Formerly employed in the sales and hospitality industry at golf courses, Bed & Breakfasts, and antique markets, many in the area will remember her time in Edenton by her membership in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the Colonial Dames of America in the state of North Carolina, The Garden of Eden Garden Club, and her employment as the first fulltime executive director of The Edenton Historical Commission. She in the past had also enjoyed membership in The Elizabeth River Garden Club and The Garden Club of Virginia.

 Surviving are her children, Anne Cameron Kirchmier Edwards of Chesapeake, VA, John Joseph Kirchmier III of Kill Devil Hills, and Charles Pickett Kirchmier of Kitty Hawk; and her step-brother, Douglass S. Mackall of McLean, VA.

 In accordance with her wishes, all services are private.
