Betty Lou White Lawrence

   Betty Lou White Lawrence, 79, of 179 Lawrence Lane, Hertford, NC, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 in her home where she was being cared for by family.

   Mrs. Lawrence was born in Perquimans County on September 19, 1942, and was the daughter of the late William Edward and Lucy Mae Lane White.  A homemaker, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

   Surviving is her husband of 58 years, Grady Earl Lawrence; two sons, Chad Lawrence (wife, Stephanie) of Hertford and Kyle Lawrence (wife, Christina) of Belvidere; a sister, Linda White Owens; four grandchildren, William, Aaron, Luke, and Clara Lawrence; and extended family and friends.

   A graveside service will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Cedarwood Cemetery, and will be conducted by Pastor Jeremy Pugh.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, and other times at the residence.

   The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Amedisys Hospice and to her caregiver, Candy, for all the love, care, and support provided in their time of need.
