Betty Culpepper Carroll

   Betty Jo Culpepper Carroll, 80, of 585 Folly Road, Sunbury, NC, died Saturday, November 28, 2020, in her home.

   Mrs. Carroll was born in Chesapeake, Virginia, on December 11, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Harry Joseph and Helen Joyce Bradshaw Culpepper. She had retired from the Virginia Beach Public School System.

   In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Carroll, Sr.; by a granddaughter; and by a great-granddaughter.

   Surviving are two sons, Sammy Clay Ennis and wife, Ronda, of Elizabeth City, and Donald Ray Ennis, Jr. of Hobbsville; a sister, Shirley Baltz of Chesapeake, VA; two brothers, Jerry and Joey Culpepper, both of Maryland; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

   With the concerns and restrictions of Covid-19, the family is planning to hold a Celebration of Life memorial service and gathering at a time when it is safer for family and friends to meet. Those arrangements will be announced when they are made.
