Barbara Cobb Byrum

   Barbara Ann Cobb Byrum, 82, of 2144 US 17 North, Merry Hill, NC, died Monday, August 23, 2021 in Vidant Bertie Hospital, Windsor.

   Mrs. Byrum was born in Chowan County on January 27, 1939, and was the daughter of the late John Calvin “J.C.” Cobb and Adie Mae Dail Cobb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Donis Byrum; her daughter, Rebecca Ann Byrum; and by her sisters, Linda Faye Dail and Carolyn Patterson.

   A homemaker, she was a member of Capehart’s Baptist Church.

   Surviving is her son, Steven Wayne Byrum (wife, Jackie) of Merry Hill; and her brother, Calvin Ray Cobb (wife, Judy Carol) of Windsor.

   In accordance with her wishes, and with conditions of the resurgence of the Covid Virus, services are private.
